What We Offer

A low child-to-teacher ratio

Organic, home-cooked meals your children will love

An expressive learning environment which fosters creativity

Reading, Writing, Math, Science & the Arts

Our special reading program helps your child to develop the reading and comprehension skills they need to SUCCEED – as early as four years old.

After toddlers become familiar with the sounds and letters of the alphabet, we slowly-but-surely integrate them into our special reading program. Here, they will learn to combine two to three vowel and consonant sounds at a time to create words. This unique approach to language learning helps children to gain an enhanced vocabulary by the age of three. By age four, you can expect your child to be able to write answers to questions based on the stories they read.

At the Little Explorer Montessori Preschool, we’re proud to reveal that our pre-school graduates have better reading skills than the average First-Grader. Our Math curriculum is designed to help children to develop the skills needed to excel in the Kindergarten classroom and beyond.

Organic, home-cooked food

At Little Explorer Montessori/Nursery, we understand that young minds need a healthy diet to help facilitate their learning. Only the finest, most nutritious home-cooked organic meals and USDA-approved snacks are available at our establishment – this means no junk food, and only the good stuff instead.

It is our belief that by only serving organic fresh fruits and vegetables, your children will develop healthy eating habits that will last them a lifetime. This ensures that all our pre-school children get the best possible start in life.

The food served at Little Explorer Montessori/Nursery is specially chosen to meet our stringent criteria – we’re strict on food coloring, artificial flavorings and hydrogenated oils, which is why none of these make their way into our menu. Our food program can also accommodate requests made by parents (such as a vegetarian menu) – for more information please feel free to contact usfor your daycare, preschool needs. One of our friendly and experienced staff will explain how we can tailor our menu to you and your child’s requirements.

What is the Montessori method of education?

The Montessori method of education is a unique educational approach that is aimed to teach, entertain, support, and enlighten your child regardless of his/her background. The key to this educational method is to give children a sufficient amount of respect and freedom in order to unravel their full potential and developmental powers that drive them to seek certain experiences. Developed in 1907 by Dr. Maria Montessori, this method of education was created to make every child feel an integral part of the classroom community, which based on scientific evidence greatly aids the learning process. Montessori method is intricately designed to involve a child in various entertaining physical and mental activities and exercises including fun role-playing and other fun activities monitored by highly qualified demonstrators.

Why Montessori?

Children’s needs change as they move through stages of development. At each level of our education, this difference is honored through the preparation of the classroom environment. The environment is prepared in every way for optimal development: physically, cognitively, socially, and emotionally. By aligning the activities in the environment with what each child needs at any moment, Montessori prepared environments liberate children’s energy for growth and learning. Children move freely throughout the environment, choosing activities that interest them, either working with the teacher, individually, or in small groups. Their movement is unrestricted by the teacher unless it endangers themselves, other people, or their surroundings. Outdoor environments are important in our schools and offer opportunities to engage with the natural world.

Our toddler and preschool classroom is not merely a place for individual learning. It is a vibrant community of children, where the child learns to interact socially in a variety of ways. The three-year age range enables older children to teach the younger and learn much themselves from the experience while the younger children are inspired to more advanced work through observing the older ones. With such a variety of levels in the classroom, each child can work at his or her own pace, unhindered by competition and encouraged by co-operation. Children attend daily and for a three-year cycle.

Within the serene environment of our classroom, a child’s fundamental qualities of responsibility, organization, friendship, and integrity are laid, as well as key intellectual bases.

Give your toddlers some fun doses!

Strengthening language and literacy competencies start at birth with daily adoring conversations, for example sharing stories, twittering tunes, and speaking to each other. We realize that fun games play a critical role in preparing young kids for future school achievements and facilitating them to become self-confident and enthusiastic learners.
We will work with these social-emotional abilities to provide infants the self-esteem and self-assurance they deserve to continue building cherishing and cooperative associations all their lives.
Let’s build a great future for your toddlers.
